February 2 will see the third annual Harry Potter Book Night celebrated throughout the world and in Westwood. Westwood Public Library is getting ready to host an unforgettable night themed around The Professors of Hogwarts. The fun kicks off at 6:30 p.m.
On Harry Potter Book Night, the library will be sharing the wonder of J.K. Rowling’s unforgettable stories and, most excitingly, introducing the next generation of readers to the unparalleled magic of "Harry Potter." Young wizards, witches and Muggles will be treated to an evening of games, activities, readings and quizzes.
It all begins when the Sorting Hat decides who will be in which house; houses will then be competing for house points throughout the evening. Hogwarts students will rotate between classes that include Transfiguration, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions, and some extracurricular game of Table Top Quidditch. There will also be a short reading from the library's favorite "Harry Potter" books and a Hogwarts Hall of Fame Quiz
Lizzy McGovern, Head of Children’s Services, says: “We are so excited to be joining up with schools, libraries, and bookshops throughout the world to celebrate the third annual Harry Potter Book Night. We have always been fans of the 'Harry Potter; books and we are looking forward to bringing the wonder and magic of this favorite series to life.”
