All are welcome to visit the 5th Annual Senior Art Show at the Wellesley Main Library during the month of June. The show is created in collaboration between the Wellesley Council on Aging, Waterstone at Wellesley and the Wellesley Free Library, and showcases the work of 50 senior artists across multiple mediums. The exhibit is on display in the Wakelin Room and the main lobby of the library.
On June 4, over 100 people attended the Senior Art Show Community Celebration. This was an opportunity for artists and community members to come together and discuss the varied art work on display. Larry Buckley, pianist, played classical background music while people viewed the exhibit. Additionally, Mark Maiden, COA Photography Leader, created a rotating photography slideshow showcasing the work of the Photography Club.
