Walpole Public Library to hold Zentangle class

There will be an introductory “Zentangle” class held in the Children’s Program Room at the Walpole Public Library on February 17 at 7 p.m.
“Zentangle” is a meditative art technique, based on structured patterns, which is easy, fun, and relaxing. North Attleboro artist and Certified Zentangle Teacher Cindy O’Brien, will hold the introductory class.

There is a limit of 30 persons first to arrive. Another class will be held on February 24 if there is sufficient interest. The event is Sponsored by the Friends of the Walpole Public Library, admission is free and all ages 10 and up are welcome.

“Through its meditative qualities, Zentangle increases focus and creativity and provides an increased sense of peace and personal wellbeing,” said Certified Zentangle Teacher Cindy O'Brien, a North Attleboro resident.

O’Brien is the founder and president of the former Village Artisans Collaborative of downtown North Attleboro. owner of the former Artiste Gallery of downtown Mansfield and is the current owner of Artiste Art and Craft Studio which offers Zentangle classes, adult and children Art and Craft classes, and sponsored art events.

As a practicing artist for over thirty years, including gallery shows in Provincetown and Newbury Street, Boston, O'Brien's goal as a teacher is “to get people excited about art and just have fun!”
