This past weekend, Troop 44 traveled to Forks, Maine, for an exciting whitewater rafting trip! Nineteen Scouts spent two nights in cabins along the Kennebec River, where we tackled Class 3 and 4 rapids. One of the highlights of the trip was the opportunity for Scouts to swim through a rapid on their own. After the day on the river, Troop 44 enjoyed great meals and hiked to Moxie Falls, a stunning 90 foot waterfall that flows into the Kennebec watershed. Scouts took in the beautiful views before returning to camp for a troop volleyball game and water polo match in the pool. Throughout the weekend, Scouts were smiling and enjoying the fun, outdoor adventure in Northern Maine.
