RB Foundation supports two local heroes

Phillip Lippolis is a courageous ten year old boy battling leukemia for the second time. His family has spent a tremendous amount of time at Boston Children’s Hospital. Phillip received a bone marrow transplant and is currently unable to leave his house in Walpole. His wonderful teachers go to his home to tutor him. The RB Foundation wanted to help this amazing family with some of the costly expenses associated with such a diagnosis. It can be financially devastating to a family.

Erin Metayer is a brave 21 year old senior nursing student at URI. She was in a horrific car accident last August in Medfield. She suffered a traumatic brain injury and spent several weeks in the hospital ICU and then a rehabilitation center. Erin is currently home receiving out patient rehabilitation. The medical costs became astronomical and Erin will need to face several more surgeries and services in order to gain her independence back. She is quite the fighter. The RB Foundation supports Erin in her plight to continue on her path of becoming a pediatric R.N.

The RB Foundation is a local 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Walpole. It provides financial assistance to families in need going through difficult circumstances. For more information or to apply for assistance please visit our website at www.rbfoundationinc.org.

To get involved in the RB Foundation’s largest fundraiser, the Annual RB Charity Gala will take place on Friday, June 9 at the Sheraton Four Points in Norwood.
