Grade 5 students at Old Post Road School can count on having fun at their annual Math Day at Bird Park, and this year was no exception. Students enjoyed a variety of math-themed activities throughout the park, including an obstacle course that had students figuring out averages, a beanbag toss that required them to understand percentages, and games in which they had to configure the playing fields using precise measurements and right angles.
Grade 5 teachers Shawn Gough and Nancy Golden, with the help of many parents and teachers, organized this year's Math Day at Bird Park, which has taken place every year for the last 24 years.
