Governor Charlie Baker offered an enthusiastic endorsement of State Senate candidate Jacob Ventura at a Walpole rally on October 7, ahead of the Special Senate Election scheduled for Tuesday, October 17. The rally, which also included speeches by Senate Minority Leader Bruce Tarr, Selectmen chairman Eric Kraus, Walpole Chamber of Commerce president and former State Senate candidate Harry Brousaides, and several state legislators, was held at the Italian American Club on Stone Street.
