Medfield and Westwood High School golf returned to the links on Friday for their season-opening rivalry match at Ponkapoag Golf Course in Canton.
Westwood's team was comprised of seniors Colin Beggan, Ethan Blonder, Kyle Burgess, Nick Horsfall, Griffin. Hunter, Noah Joseph, Kevin McGough, juniors John Leonard and Francis Papetti, and sophomore Denis Papetti.
Medfield was represented by seniors Charles Marie, Kaitlyn McCarthy and Joseph Sabra, juniors Luke Murphy, James Davignon, Henry Lapham, Connor Nee, Henry Reilly, Max Sherman and Ben Sleboda, sophomore Thomas Guidoboni and freshman Sarah Cummings.
In a tightly contested bout, Westwood outlasted Medfield, 225-241. Henry Reilly and Kaitlyn McCarthy led Medfield, both shooting two-over par through nine at 38.
