Needham's U8 Gold Summer baseball team won the 2016 Ron Black Invitational hosted by Walpole Little League.
Needham went 5-0 during the weekend with preliminary round wins against Walpole Central, Milton and Foxboro. In the semi-finals, Needham came from behind to beat Milton and in the finals, Needham rallied from a 4-0 deficit to beat Canton 7-4.
The team members: Zach Baum, Lukas Berner, Emmett Bradbury, Nick Buckley, Garrett Falahee, Jonathan Francescone, Brett Gallo, Tyler Hesser, William Lavelle, Matthew Mullaney, Conor O'Brien, Colin O'Donnell, Braden Place, Cam Ritchie, Joey Saratella, Mason Wright. The coaches: Saratella, Place, Mullaney, Francescone, and Bradbury.
