As the District 6 Legion baseball season reaches its midway-point, Needham currently finds itself in third place at the time of printing, chasing Walpole and Franklin for the top spots in the West Division standings. Their record includes a tie with second-place Franklin and victories both at home and away (the latter of which came in the form of a 20-4 trouncing) against first-place Walpole.
With upcoming games against rivals Medfield (to whom they have lost twice already) and Franklin, the team seems poised to make a push for the top of the standings.
The Needham nine will be playing at home on July 7 at 5:45 against Foxboro.
