The Medfield Youth Baseball Babe Ruth Majors team, comprised of players from Medfield and Millis, finished in first place. The team, known as the War-Hawks (a combination of Medfield Warriors and Millis Mohawks), finished with an impressive 9-2-1 record. The team suffered a tough 3-2 nail-biting loss in the league semi-finals, but had a great, competitive final game. Although the team included players and coaches from different towns, the boys came together as a cohesive team and throughout the season communicated well, were aggressive on the base paths, made awesome defensive plays and came through with some clutch pitching and timely hits. Head Coach Dave DeCoste and Assistant Coaches Jim McDonald and Doug Coutts felt the team had a lot of passion, skill, character and energy.
