On Friday, January 23rd, varsity girls’ basketball returned to their home court to play the Holliston Panthers after four games on the road. The Warriors have had a fantastic season, entering their game against the Panthers (1–11) with an undefeated 13–0 record, following their championship win in the spring.

The Warriors gained a strong lead from the beginning of the game, moving quickly from 10–3 to 20–3 and ending up with a 32–5 score by the end of the quarter. Naya Annigeri blocked a pass, and later made a steal that led to a layup by Kameli Annigeri. Sidney Heavey made an interception, and Tess Baacke and Kameli Annigeri both made three-pointers.
In the second quarter, Ava Pender made a good look to Sidney Heavey for a layup, and on defense, Ava Kraus and Heavey overwhelmed a Holliston player and forced her to get rid of the ball. #33 also made a good fake up to the hoop before passing it out to Annie Smits. Naya Annigeri had a big second quarter, making two three-pointers, both of her foul shots, and drove to the basket for a layup after grabbing a loose ball near half court. The half ended at 53–15.
In the third quarter, Megan Werner and Annie Smits both made good rebounds, Werner on offense and Smits on defense. #33 made both of her foul shots and had a big moment when she denied a three-point attempt by a Panther with 0.9 seconds left in the quarter, which ended at 61–17.

In the fourth quarter, Samantha Manning swiped at the ball and got the Holliston player to give it up, and later nabbed it for a layup on another play. Ava Pender made a three-pointer, Ava Kraus made a steal, Annie Smits put away a rebound, and the crowd was cheering for Kraus when she scored a three-pointer.
The final score of the game was a 74–25 win for the Warriors.
The Warriors will be back at home for their next game tomorrow, Friday the 30th, to play the Norton Lancers (4–8) at 6:00 after beating them 63–24 at the beginning of the season. Then on Tuesday, February 3rd, they will be at Dover-Sherborn High School to play the Raiders (5–8) at 5:00 after their 78–27 win back in December.
