Medfield’s Frank Cosolito capped off a stellar high school athletic career last month by winning the Defensive Player MVP at the 38th annual Shriner’s Football Classic. Cosolito anchored the defense for the South, which produced three turnovers in the 30-20 win at Cawley Stadium in Lowell.
The recent Catholic Memorial graduate accomplished the unique feat of being elected to three state all-star games in three different sports. Last month, Cosolito competed in the Boston Lax All-American Lacrosse game held in Westwood and also won outstanding player honors the Shriner’s Hockey Classic earlier in the year.
Cosolito takes his diverse abilities to Middlebury College in the Fall where he plans to play multiple varsity sports.
