The annual Thanksgiving football game against Medfield on November 23 marked the end of an extremely successful fall athletic season for Dover-Sherborn Regional High School. This past week, the Tri-Valley League announced its award winners across all competitive sports, and many of the names came from DS.
For the South Sectional finalist DS girls soccer team, Cerys Balmer and Sabrina Doyle were named TVL First-Team. Olivia Maier was named TVL First-Team along with EMass Coaches First-Team and to the All-State team. Hope Shue and MaryJo Smith were named TVL Honorable Mention.
TVL Small champion DS boys soccer, meanwhile, had the largest presence on the TVL’s First-Team of the seven Raider varsity sports after a long playoff run that concluded in the South Sectional finals. George Beninati, Adam Fam, Jack Gardiner, Corey Lampman, Erik Linden, and John Muckstadt all took home TVL First-Team honors. Both Lampman and Muckstadt were named EMass Coaches All Stars, and Lampman also took home the honors of TVL MVP and was named a member of the All-State team. Michael Mastrobuono and Owen Searle were each named TVL Honorable Mention.
The DS football team had four of its members make TVL First-Team in quarterback Holden Ferrari, running back Tylan Mendes, running back Tim Polk, and defensive tackle Jamie Wirth. Joe Bulotsky, Jon Musgrave, and Nick Novitch were all named TVL Honorable Mention.
DS golf had several of its members earn postseason awards as well, with Alex Baroody and Cooper Evans being named to TVL First-Team. Division III Sectional medalist Brady Tsourides and Nick Marken were each named TVL Honorable Mention.
For the TVL co-champion DS field hockey team, Maggie Green, Amelia Mountford, Jackie Mountford, Colleen Raftery, and Tara Raftery were all named TVL First-Team. Payton Ahola and Haley Gladstone were named TVL Honorable Mention and head coach Dara Johnson was awarded the honor of TVL Coach of the Year.
In cross-country, Oliver Fried and Caitlin Britt were named TVL First-Team.
