The Dover-Sherborn Nordic ski team began the season practicing on dry land for the first month, but when January came around they finally got to work out on snow, giving them a true sense of where they stood as a team.
Captained by Fiona Gray, Alexandra Martiros and Dana Rice on the girls’ side, and Peter Phelan and Sven Phillips on the boys’ side, the team skis at the Leo J. Martin Golf Course and Ski Track in Weston. They have been making snow there for a little more than three weeks and have had three races so far.
The team is coached by Fred Sears. The boys won their first two races, while the girls are in third place, as the team continues to work hard to improve their times on the course.
