After capturing the school’s first-ever Division III state championships in boys basketball this past winter, the Dover-Sherborn boys were honored at Fenway Park for their winning ways on July 15 ahead of the Red Sox game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
The event capped off an absolutely incredible 2018-2019 athletic year for DS sports, especially for Cameron Roycroft, who was honored as Boston Globe Division III Player of the Year in boys lacrosse and also helped DS lax to the Division III state championship. Roycroft had just gotten off a plane from vacation in Portugal days prior and suited up in the BostonLax All-American Game on Monday night in Quincy, capped off his week with a trip to Fenway to be honored with his teammates, friends and family.
The TVL Small champ Raiders cruised through the Central sectional, which included a 14-point win over top-seeded Hudson in sectional finals. The Raiders took out West sectional champ Sabis (53-36) in the state semifinals before beating South champ Bishop Stang (71-56) to claim the state title.
