The Dover-Sherborn Regional High School boys and girls track and field teams each remain unbeaten at 2-0 after consecutive victories over Medway and Dedham to begin the 2018 campaign this past week.
The DS boys took down Medway, 101-30, on April 10 to begin their season. Spencer Robbins (12.00) finished second in the 100-meter while Brooks Walsh (12.10) took third. Brooks Burt (17.40) took home first place and earned DS five critical scoring points in the 110 hurdle while Chris Mutch (20.6) finished third.
Tylan Mendes (24.1) scored first in the 200-meter while Angus Goodearl (24.) finished second, and Bennett Gridley (25.72) in third. The 400-meter saw a trip of Raiders finish at the top with Jacob Robin (53.92) in first, Cameron Tanaka (55.50) n second, and Sebastien Dills (57.37) in third.
Danny Bennett scored first in the 400-meter hurdles at 1:04.00 while Chris Mutch (1:10.00) placed third. Oliver Fried (2:01.80) took home first place in the 800-meter with Oren Wiemeyer (2:09.00) right behind in second. Owen Searle (4:41.10) placed first in the mile while Noah Guarini (5:03.50) finished second.
Senior Erik Linden (10:07.7) placed first in the two-mile with Scott Sirri (10:46.5) just behind in second. Danny Bennett (94-03( placed finished in the discus with Benjamin Hodson-Walker (80-04) in second and George Beacham (78-05) in third. Elliot Conlow (5-4) placed first in the high jump while Arnav Gupta and Will Brown (4-10) tied for second.
Danny Bennett (121-0) scored first in the high jump with Matthew Hall (117-1) in second. Spencer Robbin (20-9) placed second in the long jump with Jacob Brown (18-2) in third. Tylan Mendes (37-09) finished first in the shot put with teammates Benjamin Barry (34-02.5) and Ben Williams (32-02) in second and third. Russell Ceol (34-5) placed third in the triple jump.
The DS boys 4x400-meter relay team composed of Tanaka (56.0), Fried (55.94), Robin (55.48), and Searle (56.47) also grabbed a first-place finish with a total time of 3:44.
On the girls side, DS took an 89-47 victory to begin their season. Isabella Robbins (13.64) finished second in the 100-meter with teammate Rachel DeSilva (13.80) just behind in third.
Emma Lesser (16.80) finished first in the 100 hurdles with Olivia Goganian (18.80) placing second. Tatum Evans (27.6) placed first in the 200-meter while Riona Crowley (30.5) placed third. The 400-meter hurdles were highlights by a second-place finish from Merritt Sullivan (1:17.00) and a third-place finish from Haley Gladstone (1:18.00).
Caitlin Britt (2:35.10) took home first place for DS in the 800-meter with Jillian Davis (2:37.10) finishing second and Merritt Sullivan (2:38.10) in third. Britt placed first in the mile with a time of 5:50.70 while Isabel Tate (6:18.20) finished third. Charlotte Kinchla (13:13.3) finished first in the two-mile for DS while Virginia Borths (13:14) placed second.
Sophia Cutler (87-03) placed second for DS in the discus while Olivia Collins (79-04) finished third. Elizabeth Jenkins (4-6) finished in second in the high jump while Rachel DaSilva (4-4) placed third. Sabrina Doyle (78-09) took home first place in the javelin while Grace Johnson (71-01) finished second.
Sofia Federico (15-2.5) finished first for DS in the long jump while Emma Lesser (15-0.0) took home third. Aznive Gigarjian (24-09) finished first in the shot put while Sofia Bulotsky (22-03) placed third. A second place finish by Emma Lesser (32-10.5) and a third-place finish by Katie Kovrlija (30-7.5) highlighted DS’s performance in the triple jump.
The DS 4x100 meter relay team, composed of Grace Johnson, Elizabeth Jenkins, Priscilla Tso, and Rachel DeSilva, took home first place with a time of 57.20. The 4x400 meter relay team, composed of Jenkins (1:07.46), Sydney McLaughlin (1:05.13), Jillian Davis (1:09.39), and Tatum Evans (1:04.10), also took home first with a total time of 4:26.01.
Against Dedham, the DS boys cruised once again with a 103-33 victory while the girls handled their business by squeaking out a 69-79 win.
