The Dover-Sherborn boys tennis team have taken on tough mental matches with ease. Their match against Apponequet High was no different on Thursday, June 8th. Aside from a quick rain delay and some time to dry off the courts, the boys were focused and determined to head to the next round of playoffs.
The Raiders defeated the Lakers 4-1 and now advance to the Final Four of the state tournament. Mirroring the same attributes as their fantastic season, the boys has been phenomenal in the post-season. Polishing off their season with a 15—3 record, Dover-Sherborn has capitalized on their talent to win their past few post season matches with 5-0 wins all around.
Second singles Will DePaola battled against Apponequet’s Nate Belmore during Thursday’s compettiton. DePaola raised the bar of concentration and skills to succeed past Belmore. DePaola earned himself a 6-3 and a 6-4 win against his competition, finalizing the last point needed to advance the Raiders in the Final Four.
