Peanut Butter

Peanut Butter (adopter can change his name) was found with his mom, Jelly, in the middle of a road in West Virginia. Both were skinny and injured but luckily were found by a good samaritan who put them put them in her car and took them to her home. She tried to find their owners but no one came forward as they were probably dumped. She brought them to one of our southern rescues partners who kept them until they were healthy, neutered and up to date on their vaccines. PB is a handsome tricolor beagle who weighs 17 pounds and is one year old. He is very timid but does warm up once he can trust you. We will know more about his personality once he spends a few weeks with his foster family in Boston. He will require a patient owner with another dog and a fenced yard. Once comfortable in his new home he should become a lovely family pet. If interested in Peanut Butter or any of our other hounds please contact us at necoonhoundrescue.org or via Northeast Coonhound Rescue or NECR Beagle Rescue on Facebook. We hope to have some more hounds available soon as shelters are beginning to reopen in the South as well as the required quarantine facilities for out of state dogs in MA.
