Evan Lautz

Evan Alexander Lautz, age 23, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 6, 2021. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 4, 1998, he was the son of Dr. David B. and Ann L. (Pink) Lautz. He spent his early years in Needham before his family settled in Medfield, Massachusetts. Evan was raised in Medfield, where he graduated from Medfield High School with the Class of 2016. As a young man with tremendous intelligence and an eye for artistic works, Evan enrolled in Roger Williams University, where he was completing his Master's Degree focusing on Architecture.

His knowledge did not end with architecture, as he was a wealth of information on a vast number of subjects and with his dry sense of humor, regularly could bring a smile to those around him.

Evan loved nature and photographing all the beauty he saw around him.

Most of all, Evan was a kind and gentle soul, whose presence touched the lives of many. He will be forever remembered and held close in the hearts of his loving family.

Devoted son of Ann L. (Pink) Lautz of Norfolk and David B. Lautz, MD of Medfield.

Loving brother of Ashley Lautz of Medfield, Grace Lautz of Norfolk, Sarah Lautz of Norfolk, and Julia Lautz of Norfolk.

Cherished grandson of Leonard Lautz of Belleville, Illinois, Jerrie (White) Lautz of Swansea, Illinois, Barbara A. (Hynes) Pink of Norwood, and the late Francis X. Pink.

Relatives and friends were invited to attend Evan's Life Celebration on Wednesday, May 12, in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Prayer Service followed in Saint Edward the Confessor Church, Medfield, on Thursday, May 13. Interment took place in Vine Lake Cemetery in Medfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Roger Williams University, c/o Advancement Office, 1 Old Ferry Street, Bristol, RI 02809, with Evan Alexander Lautz Scholarship Fund noted on the memo line.
