Local businesses and restaurants are banding together to encourage support from patrons during this holiday season. In an attempt to encourage shoppers to find holiday gifts through local stores, many Needham retailers have extended their hours on Thursdays. Selected restaurants are offering deals to patrons every Thursday, as well.
In a press release posted on November 10, Select Board member Marianne Cooley remarked on the need to support local businesses. "Our local shops need our support, and we appreciate their willingness to stay open to accommodates shoppers during these challenging times," she noted. "It is our hope that as shoppers are out doing their holiday shopping this year, they'll look no further than our incredible retailers here in Needham and bring a little merriment to our local businesses."
A current extension of hours may change given the situation with COVID-19. A list of the participating local businesses can be found here.
