Needham author Tom Keating shared his writing process and discussed his Vietnam story, “Convoy for the Con Voi,” which was published in 2017 as part of the anthology “War Stories 2017.” The event was held at the Veterans Center in Gloucester, MA, sponsored by the Gloucester Writers Center.
The Cape Ann Veterans Writing Workshop, under the direction of Dorothy Shubow Nelson, invited Keating to visit the workshop and share with other writers his approach to writing his memoir. He spoke to the writers Thursday, November 8, explaining the process of writing his memoir using “creative non-fiction.” Tom also answered questions from the group after his presentation.
The Cape Ann Veterans Writing Workshop has published an anthology of writings from the members entitled “The Inner Voice and the Outer World,” writings by Cape Ann veterans and their families.
