Needham Antiques Show moves to Eliot School

With construction projects still in progress at Needham High School, the 21st annual Needham Antiques Show will take place in a new venue. This year’s show will be at the John Eliot Elementary School, located at 135 Wellesley Avenue in Needham, on Sunday, November 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees bringing a printed copy of this article to the door will receive a BSGC $1 discount off the $7 admission fee.

Beth Shalom Garden Club, sponsor of this popular sale, aims to raise funds to benefit and support the club’s community outreach endeavors. Proceeds help defray costs of their many projects and special floral programs at the Walker School, Charles River Arc Center, along with Needham High School Fine Arts Department who collaborates with the club to organize Needham’s Art in Bloom every March.

There will be fine furniture, jewelry, glass, china, lighting, and other unique interesting finds spanning the 18th, 19th and early 20th century time periods. Goosefare Antiques & Promotions proprietors, John and Elizabeth DeSimone, who have been in this industry for over forty years select high quality vendors that they know and trust from Vermont, Maine, New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island to offer the widest variety of distinct vintage items to purchase.

Those who have a “hidden family treasure” in their home are welcomed to bring it to the show for a verbal appraisal from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; the cost with admission is only $5 per item, or five items for $20. There will also be light refreshments, a bake sale, and a benefit drawing. There is free parking at the show.
