Garden Club hosting wreath/arrangement sale

The Needham Garden Club will be holding its annual sale of holiday wreaths and table arrangements at the Needham Congregational Church, 1180 Great Plain Ave., from 9:00-1:00 on Saturday, Dec 2.

The community is welcomed to see all the hand crafted wreaths and a wide variety of creative and unique arrangements for the holidays. The festive event is the Garden Club's major fundraiser of the year. Proceeds from the sale help sponsor educational programs in horticulture and floral design at the Needham Library, garden therapy sessions at local assisted living and nursing homes, and a college scholarship for a Needham senior planning to study biology, horticulture, conservation, or environmental science.

The Needham Garden Club was founded in 1931 to advance the art of gardening and the science of horticulture. Its members participate in a number of area horticultural and floral design events, including the Needham "Art in Bloom."

The Club has about 70 members. Both novice and experienced gardeners, and those with a passion for flowers are always welcome to join the club.
