Medfield Boy Scout Ian Gipson from Troop 89 recently completed his Eagle Project this past June with the installation of three signs at the Medfield State Hospital property. The signs display a map of the entire property and detail a brief history of what each of the buildings were used for during the hospital’s heyday.
Ian designed and developed the signs utilizing drone pictures, researched and added in a legend identifying all the buildings and their uses (with the generous aid of Mr. John Thompson, who helped provide historical info) and coordinated the production and installation of the signs.
Medfielders are encouraged to visit the State Hospital property and appreciate Ian’s hard work.
