Medfield’s David Lifsitz publishes fourth novel

Medfield resident David Lifsitz released his latest suspense novel, Apt. 89B, the third installment in his Thomas White thriller series.

Set in Boston and centered around a high-stakes cryptocurrency theft investigation, the fictional novel continues the fast-paced FBI series that began with The 43rd Floor and Slip 17. “I’ve always enjoyed writing, and this novel allows me to continue with another suspenseful story that combines technology, crime, and Boston settings that readers will recognize,” said Lifsitz.

A little about the book:

In a world of digital money, the perfect crime leaves nothing behind.

Fifteen years ago, a Cryptex company executive fell off a cliff and died during a management retreat at Zion National Park. Authorities ruled it a hiking accident, but his widow never believed the story. Convinced her husband was murdered, she spent years consumed by grief, suspicion, and a relentless desire for revenge.

Now, someone has stolen a massive fortune in digital currency from Cryptex, triggering an FBI investigation with global stakes.

In Apt. 89B, Thomas White returns as a Boston-based FBI agent assigned to track the mastermind behind the devastating crypto heist. But as the investigation deepens, nothing is adding up. With no threats, ransom demands, or clear suspects, Thomas and his team are left chasing ghosts tied to secrets buried fifteen years earlier.

Desperate for an edge, he turns to a pair of renowned industry leaders and MIT professors. But the deeper the FBI digs, the less anyone can be trusted. Every ally could be the enemy.

If they don’t stop the thief at the upcoming Boston crypto conference, the fallout won’t end with one company; it could send shockwaves through the financial world..
