The Medfield PTO is preparing for school’s imminent reopening with initiatives to make Medfield Schools more welcoming.
The PTO recently organized a "Chalk the Walk" for Medfield students to come welcome the staff back to the building week. The kids really showed their support with positive messages and artwork that the PTO hopes will start this unprecedented year off on a high note.
Additionally, the PTO is planning a couple of Dale Service Days. While the custodians were busy sanitizing the inside of Dale Street School, the outside had to take a backseat. The PTO is inviting the community to join for some light gardening work (weeding, cleaning up, planting flowers) that will go a long way to make Dale Street a beautiful place to return to for students and staff.
The service days will occur on Tuesday, September 8, and/or Wednesday September 9 (rain date Thursday, Sept. 10) any time from 9-5.
Residents are invited to bring some gardening gloves, and perhaps a rake or a trash bag. All participants must wear a mask, and are encouraged to contribute to the service day for as long as they can - even the littlest bit is appreciated.
