To go along with this year's summer reading theme "Imagine Your Story," the Medfield Public Library's Children's Department is holding a writing contest. Participants are asked to take their favorite fairy tales and put a spin on it. Kids can write, draw, use toys, or act out their twist and submit it to the mldkids@minlib.net by August 21 to be entered into the contest.
Among the suggestions for changing the story includes changing what the characters do in the story, the point of view, their motivation, and even the setting. Participants can also create their own creation and submit it to show the power of their imagination.
