Laps Around MAP raises cancer funds

With sincere excitement, Walking Club 2019 from the Medfield Afterschool Program (MAP) donated $1605 to help fund the research needed to cure cancer.

Under the guidance of respected MAP teachers Terri Lynch and Carol Brown, fifteen kindergartners and first graders were sponsored by moms, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, friends, teachers, and nannies to complete Laps Around MAP. The kids eagerly set out, spurred on by clapping and cheers from fellow MAPsters and teachers. On the cool Wednesday afternoon of May 29, 208 laps became their final count.

The children who took part in Walking Club’s Walkathon 2019 are listed as follows: Madyson MacPherson, Jaclyn Callender, Rory Horne, Lucas Finchen, Zoe Villavicencio, Emma Warner, George Barros, Ryan Dorman, Alisha Sardana, Grace Garnett, Avery Daly, Riley Medeiros, Ella Llavina, Adelaide Collins, and Ian Lynch.
