The Glass Bar, a mother-and-daughter-owned glass studio specializing in fused glass, is set to appear at this year’s Holiday Stroll.
The idea for The Glass Bar arose in 2008 when Sheryl and Jordan were both diagnosed with cancer. The ailments left Sheryl, a bookkeeper, out of work and Jordan out of school. During this time, Sheryl rediscovered her passion for stained glass. Sheryl enrolled in many glass art classes, from fusing to dichroic glass jewelry. She started bringing home amazing creations that caught Jordan’s eye. Before they knew it their garage transformed into a glass workshop. Sheryl and Jordan found solace bringing beauty into the world, even when life could be so ugly.
