FieldFest launched the summer festivities at the Bellforge Arts Center, featuring four local musicians who captivated the gathered crowd.
Set against the backdrop of the Lee Chapel, the outdoor stage provided ample sunlight and scenic views of the property. Bellforge adorned the lawn with chairs, cornhole games, and toy rockets to entertain attendees throughout the event.
Opening the show was Micheal Kane and The Morning Afters, a rock band hailing from Worcester. Their repertoire of rock ballads resonated with themes of growth and navigating complex relationships, setting the tone for the evening.
Following suit was Ruby Golden Tiger, a 12-year-old bassist from Boston, who showcased her mastery of the bass guitar through renditions of classic rock hits, impressing the audience with her musical prowess beyond her years.
Baxter Hall, a Boston-based indie-rock artist, took the stage next, embracing the laid-back ambiance with smooth vocals and folk-inspired guitar melodies.
Closing out FieldFest was The Benji’s, a trio from Providence, Rhode Island, comprising Marissa Morse, Philip Geronimo, and an undisclosed third member. Their lively instrumentals and subdued vocals provided a fitting conclusion to the concert.
Each performer brought a distinct sound to the stage, showcasing the diversity of the local music scene and prompting audience members to dance along and discover new favorites. Several acts offered their music and merchandise for sale, allowing fans to take home souvenirs of the event.
FieldFest marked the beginning of the Bellforge Art Center’s Summer Sounds series, a lineup of live music events featuring local talent throughout the season.
