Bellforge showcases rising women artists

The Bellforge is always putting on a good time and uplifting local artists. The collaborative concert between The Bellforge and Women in Music Boston was no exception. This performance showcased three artists making waves in the local music scene. 

People gathered on the grass to enjoy the cooling fall weather and listen to three incredibly talented female artists rock The Bellforge recently. The show consisted of Olivia Wendel, Tanille Ja’Nae and Liz Longley. Each performer brought something new to the stage and left with countless new fans. 

Olivia Wendel kicked off the show with her down-to-earth and relatable lyrics. She told stories between each song about what inspired her, many of her inspirations coming from growing up in Massachusetts. One of her songs was titled “Stop and Shop” and told the story of realizations that happen within the grocery store. 

Tanille Ja’Nae wowed the audience with her smooth vocals and R&B influences. Ja’Nae had a band backing her up that helped showcase her powerhouse vocals. She dazzled the audience with her deep lyrics and bouncy melodies. Her vocals and powerful storytelling make it clear why her popularity is on the rise. 

The headliner was Liz Longley who brought with her silky vocals and deep meaningful melodies. Longley has earned praise for her songwriting abilities including scholarships and countless fans. She recently released her sixth album, funded by her fanbase. Her music filled the grass and trees with floating lyrics and hope. 

Woman in Music teamed up with The Bellforge to put on this breathtaking showcase. Woman in Music Boston is the Boston chapter of a national organization that focuses on uplifting female voices in the music industry. There are countless artists within their community that are on the rise in the local music scene. The Bellforge will continue to prove itself the perfect venue for events such as this. 

Woman in Music Boston and The Bellforge put on a wonderful showcase of women artists. This is just one of the hundreds of concerts Bellforge has put on this season, and all of them are worth attending. There is always more in the work at Bellforge for the preservation of performance centers and is always worth checking out.
