At the end of March, as we closed out the winter months, Medfield Public Library (MPL) opened its doors for art to bloom within every room. The Medfield Garden Club teamed up with talented high school students from Medfield High School to create this stunning display.
The exhibit began right by the entryway of the library, with a sign-in book by the first display. Visitors were encouraged to sign their name and leave encouraging words for the artists.
The exhibit was weaved throughout the various parts of the library; from the entryway, to the study rooms, and up into the children's room. The movement throughout the building helped bring the artwork to life, as viewers eagerly anticipated to see the next display.
Some of the art pieces included: digital photography, ceramics, acrylic paintings, oil paintings, mixed media prints, colored pencil drawings, graphic designs, and watercolor.
Each piece was paired with a beautiful, handcrafted floral arrangement. The floral arrangements were truly works of art in their own right. Pairing the pieces of artwork with these arrangements was a captivating concept; the colors compliment one another very well, which made both aspects of the displays more eye-catching.
It was a privilege to see these talented students showcase their artwork. As well as the interpretations of their artwork, which were represented by the arrangements the garden club members had created.
The exhibit was quite the homage to the blooming of life in the springtime months around the corner.
