On Sunday, April 24th, The Sons of the Medfield American Legion held their annual Fishing Derby at Medfield’s Vine Lake Cemetery.
This year’s Derby attracted over 40 children ages 2 to 12. The winners in the 8 year-old and over division were awarded to Will Boxmeyer (9) for biggest fish, and Braeden Sutton (8) for most fish. In the 8 years and under divison, Owen Boxmeyer (6) followed in his brothers footsteps with the win for biggest fish, and Katie Dewar (5) for the most fish caught.
All proceeds from the derby go toward the Sons of the Legion’s Medfield High School scholarship fund.
