Earlier this week every Medfield household received the annual blue ANGP fundraising flyer in their mailboxes. ANGP, also known as the All Night Graduation Party, is seeking community support to help underwrite the expense of the annual event. All in Medfield have an opportunity to participate in the send-off. The annual ANGP blue flyer appeal helps close the gaps in expenses every year.
The party is always special for the graduates, who enjoy an inclusive night of entertainment, food and fun together after caps and gowns are off and family photos are done. Since the inception of the tradition in 1992, organizers estimate more than 5,000 students have had the pleasure of celebrating their graduation all night long in a safe and substance-free environment with their fellow graduates.
On graduation night, Medfield High School is completely transformed. Dozens of volunteers have been working for weeks creating the backdrops and décor that transform part of the high school into a party with a surprise theme. The inclusive, safe, and substance-free party runs from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the night of graduation, Sunday, June 3. Keeping the students entertained, fed and busy all night long takes a great deal of creativity, volunteers and funds.
“Providing our students a safe celebration on graduation night has been and always will be the highest priority. Donations from the community play a vital role in meeting this goal. The community has provided generous support in the past and continued support this year is counted on to sustain the wonderful tradition that is ANGP,” said event co-chair Tracy Fedak.
To donate to the ANGP, use the blue All Night Graduation Party flyer received in the mail, or send a donation to Medfield High School ANGP, P.O. Box 38, Medfield, MA 02052.
The final party setup can be previewed by the public (no graduating seniors) on Saturday, June 2, between noon and 2 p.m.
