To The Editor,
Thank you to Jamie O’Loughlin and the “Project Love” team along with many unknown folks in the Medfield community who contributed to help make Valentine’s Day extra special for the residents of Tilden Village (and the residents of the Thomas Upham House) during the pandemic.
O’Loughlin chaired “Project Love” that was initiated by the United Church of Christ “Medfield Missions team”. According to O’Loughlin “It truly was a collaborative effort with so many people in Medfield including many fun stories along the way”. Joyce Sabia purchased 100 LOVE stickers made by Medfield high school student Olivia Price, the grandchildren of Gayle Kendall made valentines specifically for "bubble gum Bob", and two girl scout troops, two 4th grade service groups, a number of UCC Confirmation classes, countless families and so many individuals purchased items and made valentines cards.
The team put together Love bags filled with a homemade card and gifts such as hand sanitizers, kleenex packages, individually wrapped chocolate and hard candy. Alexandra Compton, Marina Grzeskowiak, Kristin Hudson, Jamie O’Loughlin, Tim O’Loughlin, and Tayne Quinn assembled the Love bags, and Hanna O’Loughlin delivered the gifts to all 60 apartment doors at Tilden Village.
Thank you for your generosity and thoughtfulness that brought joy to numerous folks at Tilden Village on Valentine’s Day.
