Drake Maye has brought forth a successful season for the New England Patriots with a record of 11-2 and found his holiday spirit in Westwood.
Over Thanksgiving weekend, Maye and his wife visited the Bean Family Farm on Clapboardtree Street to pick out their Christmas tree. The Bean Family Farm has been a stable in Westwood
since the 1950s.
Chris Bean, the owner of Bean Farm, told 7News:
“It’s great that he’s supporting another local business in what is now his hometown…They’ve driven by the farm quite a few times and they knew they wanted to come here and get their Christmas tree. They picked out a beautiful 10-foot tree and we took care of it. I gave it to him on the house as a nice welcome gift to our town of Westwood.”
A ten foot tree is an absolutely perfect fit for #10. Maye has certainly made himself at home in Westwood by partaking in a tradition upheld by many Westwood residents through his support of this local farm.
The Bean Farm is currently in a dispute with Westwood Land Trust due to expansion plans as the 10-acre property that the farm currently holds is too small to generate enough income in order to be financially viable, according to the Boston Globe.
