On December 28th, varsity boys’ basketball traveled to Cohasset to defeat the Skippers 57–47, bringing their season record up to 2–3. Last season, the Raiders beat Ashland 75–29 but lost to Norwood 43–53. Their next game will be tomorrow at Norton High School (2–3) at 6:30, where they will be looking for redemption after losing to them 48–50 and 44–55 last year. Then on Tuesday, January 13th at 6:30, the Raiders will be at Bellingham High (2–4), who they beat 54–39 and 52–42 last season.

On December 30th, varsity girls’ basketball (2–4) was on the road for their game against Dennis-Yarmouth High, who they beat 44–30 last year and 47–17 this time. Like the boys’ team, the Raiders will have faced Ashland (3–4) on Monday and Norwood (3–0) on Wednesday, but both on their home court of the Richard Wakely Gymnasium. Last year, they were defeated 42–50 by the Clockers and 27–67 by the Mustangs. Their next game will be at home tomorrow evening at 5:30, facing the Norton Lancers (0–5). Last year, the Raiders fell to the Lancers in two close games, 32–46 and 39–45. On Tuesday the 13th, they will be at home again, looking for revenge against Bellingham (3–3) after losing to them 35–46 and 42–52 last year.
