The George B. Preston American Legion Post 209 has been serving veterans and other members of the community for over a century. It has been awarding scholarships to Dover Sherborn High School graduates since before the school was built. This year, due to the public health emergency forcing early school closure, there were fewer than normal scholarship applicants. The application deadline has thusly been extended to June 1, 2020. Graduating seniors who wish to apply should send an email to JohnRSavage78@gmail.com requesting an application form.
