Fall Recycling 10/17 and 10/18

The Dover Recycling Committee will be hosting its special Fall recycling weekend on Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18. Residents with Dover Transfer Station stickers are invited to clear the clutter from their house and garage and drop items off to be recycled and reused.

Those with furniture that they wish to donate will be able to come to the transfer station on Saturday, October 17, from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. New Life Furniture Bank of Walpole will be there to evaluate and accept objects for donation. At the moment, they will only accept couches, coffee tables, nightstands, end tables, small tables, and dressers. Those unable to drop off furniture on the 17th can drop items off at the transfer station now; they will be stored until the weekend.

Additionally, an industrial-grade shredding truck will be available on Saturday from 9 a.m. and noon. Dover residents may bring up to five paper bags of sensitive documents to be shredded for no cost.

Those with bikes they wish to donate can drop them off on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until noon to be refurbished by Bikes Not Bombs. Residents dropping off bikes are asked to make a $10 donation per bike. Money can be dropped off at a box near the collection area.

Textiles can be dropped off to be recycled on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Clothing, shoes (pairs and singles), purses, hats, stuffed animals, and belts will be accepted.
