Fall Harvest Gala October 20

The annual Dover Sherborn Education Fund (DSEF) Fall Harvest Gala will be held at Silverwood Farm in Sherborn on Saturday, October 20, at 7 p.m. The annual Gala is one of DSEF’s two major fundraisers benefiting the public schools of Dover and Sherborn.

The event is being held for the first time at Silverwood Farm. The evening will feature live music, cocktails, an extensive menu of harvest-inspired hors d’oeuvres, as well as live and silent auctions.

“In addition to supporting our wonderful teachers, staff and students, the gala is always a lively evening out and a great opportunity to catch up with friends and neighbors. Ticket prices for this year’s event are lower than they have been in the past in order to draw even more attendees while still allowing us to raise the funds necessary to support wonderful programs for all our students,” said DSEF Co-President Kristina Grace.

Among this year’s auction items are a weekend for six, including accommodations and dining in Nantucket for the traditional Christmas Stroll; and a deluxe package for four to see Justin Timberlake at Mohegan Sun; as well as many other items and experiences.

“As a parent of children in our school system, I support the DSEF as I believe the mission of this fund to enhance our children’s educational experience is of paramount importance. It’s great to help a charity that directly and positively impacts our children,” said Eric Burt.

"As a parent and a member of this community, education of our children is a top priority. They are our future," said Stephanie Kube.

DSEF grants support all four schools in the system: the high school, middle school, Pine Hill, and Chickering. Grants funded this year support art, science, and technology initiatives; health and wellness and cultural enrichment; and core academic curricula.

Tickets for the event are available for purchase using the "DONATE/BUY TICKETS" button at www.dsef.com.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available and community members and local businesses interested in supporting the gala are welcome to reach out to Melissa Messier at melissa.messier@comcast.net.
