The Dover Foundation is proud to announce its 2016 scholarship recipients. The students who received scholarships include Elise Burger, Taylor Connors, Kurt Dimmick, Kerry Gallagher, Anne Kornack and Suzannah Marsh.

This year's recipients were selected based on academic excellence, community service and contributions in the arts. Congratulations to these recipients and to all the Class of 2016 from Dover Sherborn High School.

The Dover Foundation's scholarships are funded through its Annual Appeal and through ticket sales from its spring musical.

This spring, the Dover Foundation performed the play “Pirates of Penzance,” and plans are already underway for 2017.

Next year will mark the Foundation’s 70th birthday and the Dover Foundation have just announced they will be commemorating it with a very special show: “Guys and Dolls.”

In 1963, “Guys and Dolls” was the first Broadway show that The Dover Foundation secured the rights to perform.

Returning to direct “Guys and Dolls” will be Sheridan Miller.

Joining Sheridan on the artistic team will be Michael Jones as Musical Director, Laurel Conrad as Choreographer and Kathy Weld as Accompanist, along with Catherine Belden as Producer, Ruth Townsend as Director's Assistant and Rose DiBartolo as Costume Designer.

As part of the 70th celebration the Dover Foundation is collecting photographs, old programs, past audio and video recording and stories about the many people who have been part of this group going back to 1947.

If you have items to share please contact The Dover Foundation at Dover Foundation, PO Box 69, Dover, Massachusetts 02030 or info@thedoverfoundation.org

Auditions for “Guys and Dolls” will be held in early December.
