The 30th annual Friends of St. Patrick celebration will take place this year on Friday, March 11.
The annual celebration of Irish culture will kick off with a parade through Walpole center starting at 11:15 a.m. The parade will feature live music and a wide variety of acts that celebrate Irish culture.
After the parade is over, the celebration will continue at Demetri’s Function Facility at 2 Washington Street (Route 1) in Foxboro.
Refreshments will be served starting at 12 p.m., with the annual luncheon kicking off at 1 p.m. This year, a raffle will be held, with the grand price being a trip for two to Ireland.
During the luncheon, this year’s Person of the Year will be honored. The award is given out to recognize a person’s commitment to the Walpole community. This year’s Person of the Year is Jack Connor.
Tickets for the luncheon are on sale now, and are $45 each, or $450 to reserve a table for 10 people.
