Lisa Donovan, chairwoman of the Medfield Housing Authority Board of Directors, was recently honored as Board Member of the Year by the Massachusetts chapter of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (MA NAHRO).
Donovan received the award Sept. 14 during a MA NAHRO event. According to Medfield Housing Authority Executive Director Candace Avery, the award is highly competitive, with nominees reviewed by a selected panel.
Donovan was recognized for her outstanding work and longtime service with the Medfield Housing Authority, as well as her advocacy for affordable housing in the community.
Avery also highlighted Donovan’s work supporting the development of 45 new affordable housing units in Medfield.
“Lisa was chosen for her outstanding work and longevity with the Medfield Housing Authority,” Avery said. “Her advocacy for affordable housing and the building of the new 45 units within the community has been nothing short of amazing.”
Avery said the housing authority was pleased to recognize Donovan for the honor and her contributions to the community.
