A microchipping clinic will be held on February 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Holmes Family Veterinary Clinic at 2245 Providence Highway (Route 1) in Walpole. Residents from any town may attend.

Staff at the Holmes Family Veterinary Clinic will implant a fully registered, universally scannable microchip into pets brought to the clinic. Any type of animal can be microchipped, big or small, domestic or exotic. No appointment is necessary.

Dogs should be brought to the clinic on leashes and cats should be in carriers. Those with aggressive pets are asked to inform the clinic staff before coming in.

The total cost is a $25 donation that will be made to the Norfolk Animal Gift Account, a non-profit fund that helps stray animals with medical and care needs and also helps supplement animal costs pending animal cruelty investigations and prosecutions. The donation may be tax deductible.

For questions or for more information about the clinic, contact Norfolk Animal Control Officer Hilary Cohen at 508-440-2816 or via email at [email protected].
