To the Editor:
The Medfield 375th Anniversary Parade and Celebration Committee is seeking a dedicated group of volunteers to help bring this once-in-a-generation celebration to life.
We are currently looking to fill approximately 25 Parade Marshal Positions—organized, confident individuals who can help manage the flow of the parade and keep participants moving smoothly along the route.
This is an important leadership role. Marshals will:
- Coordinate and line up parade groups
- Clearly direct participants where to go and when to move
- Walk alongside their assigned division during the parade
Ideal volunteers are highly organized, comfortable speaking up and giving direction, and able to be on their feet and moving for an extended period of time.
Because of the nature of this role, marshals will be asked to participate in a few planning meetings leading up to the event.
The parade will take place on October 17, 2026, and volunteer support will be needed the morning of the event through the conclusion of the parade.
If you are someone who enjoys being part of the action and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes, we would love to hear from you.
Additional volunteer opportunities will be available as the parade and celebration approach, and we encourage community members to stay tuned for more ways to get involved.
