On Monday, Feb. 23, as Needham Department of Public Works crews worked for hours plowing roads and clearing snow, Needham Nutrition Services stepped in to provide a hot meal in appreciation of their efforts.

Chef Jamie Silverberg of Newman Elementary School, Pollard Middle School Kitchen Manager Tonya Grace, and Assistant Director of Nutrition Services Jen Tuttelman prepared a comforting dinner that included pasta and meatballs, chicken parmesan sandwiches, roasted vegetables, hot beverages, and freshly baked cookies.
The meal offered DPW employees a chance to warm up and recharge after long hours in challenging winter conditions.
“When our town employees are out taking care of us, we’re proud to take care of them,” said Silverberg.
The effort reflects the strong partnership among town departments and the shared commitment to supporting the Needham community — especially when it matters most.
