The Westwood Wolverines took on the Dedham Murders in their final away game of the season. Dedham gave them a run for their money, but Westwood pulled through for a 1-3 win overall.

The first set saw Junior Ottavia Lodovico open up play with a three-point service streak. Freshman Lulu Fenton came out strong immediately, throwing her body across the court to keep the ball in play. Westwood led the scoring until Dedham came back to tie it 13-13. Westwood chased the score closely, always keeping it within a few points, but Dedham took the first set 26-24.

The second set is where Westwood really came to life. Lodovico had three unplayable serves in total. The team was able to communicate and play off each other, even being able to keep the ball in play after it hit the ceiling multiple times. Senior Angelina Homsy dominated at the net, blocking countless attempts by Dedham and sending a spike back to earn a point. Westwood took the set 19-25.

The third set was another close chase on the scoreboard. Lodovico and Homsy had five-point service streaks. Junior Olivia Leyden was a force at the net, involving herself in plays to make Dedham dive and fight to stay in the game. Westwood made Dedham fight hard to stay alive and keep the score tight. Lodovico was a key player in the 25-23 score, sending over 2 unplayable aces to win the set.

The fourth and final set solidified Weswtood as a dominant force on the court. Fenton was a star for the team both in service and overall play. Leyden was a key player in building Westwoods lead, putting them up 11-14 early in the set. Dedham attempted a comeback several times, but Westwood took the set 17-25.

The Westwood Wolverines won the match 3-1 over Dedham. They finished their season with a 3-1 win over Methuen on October 24. They completed the season with a 15-3 overall record.
