MedfieldTV hosted their second annual Scarecrow Spooktacular at Baxter Park with a variety of uniquely crafted scarecrows. The success and excitement surrounding this event last year brought back this new annual, autumnal themed event.

Local families and businesses came together to create an array of scarecrows for attendees to enjoy. These attendees of all ages, donned in either costumes or their festive fall fits, ventured through the park and were greeted by scarecrows of all shapes and sizes. These scarecrows ranged from characters such as Spongebob Squarepants, Macho Man Randy Savage and Edward Cullen to entities such as witches, skeletons, vampires, and angels. Children enjoyed examining each scarecrow, while parents had the ability to vote on their favorites.

Apart from these fabulous scarecrows, there were a variety of local vendors who came to support this cause. Attendees weaved through the different tables to craft, play games, blow bubbles, and learn about different businesses and community programs.

Entertainment was provided throughout the afternoon, as well as a costume contest. At the conclusion of the event, the moment that everyone had been waiting for, MedfieldTV announced the winners of the scarecrow contest.

Amongst the community favorites, winners were: Desmodus The Glampire Bat in third place, Spongebob Strawpants in second, and first prize went to Trick or Treatment.

Amongst the categories competition, Most Creative went to Scary Skelly, Most Dazzling went to Vamperina Ballerina, Spookiest went to Clara the MAP Witch, and Wackiest went to Go-Go Disco-Crow.

MedfieldTV's second annual Scarecrow Spooktacular was a day filled with laughter, creativity, and community spirit. This event not only celebrated the spirit of Halloween but also brought the Medfield community closer together. Its return next year is deeply awaited by the entire community. Locals are eager to see what kinds of scarecrows will waltz into Baxter Park next October.
