The Needham Middle Schools Fine and Performing Arts Department is preparing to take audiences on a trip down the yellow-brick road next week with a performance of “The Wizard of Oz.”
The musical will be performed on Friday, Feb. 5 and Saturday, Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. All shows will be at Pollard Middle School, 200 Harris Ave.
Nearly 100 middle school students are involved in the performances from cast to set crew to musicians. The students have been hard at work rehearsing the play, working on choreography, and fine-tuning the details ahead of the premiere.
Tickets are $10 per seat and can be purchased in advance by calling 781-455-0800, ext. 2440 or by visiting http://rwd1.needham.k12.ma.us/fpa.
